SWIMMING: SEALS ENJOY IMPRESSIVE WIN OVER LECALE

first_imgThe Swilly Seals hosted Lecale Swim Club from Downpatrick yesterday (SAT). This gala was tipped to be the toughest competition on the clubs busy calendar. The atmosphere was electric as the clubs battled it out over the two hours. There was a huge turnout for this one with many supporters travelling from County Down.Great credit is due to all swimmers who have been training hard all season. A lot of swimmers were absent due to illness or being away on holiday, but the club showed great strength and depth with new blood filling up the ranks and impressing hugely. The seals won with a comfortable margin of 64 points in the end with the final scoreline showing Swillys Seals 603 Lecale 539. This made it four from four for the club with Armagh the final fixture in April. A win against Armagh will secure promotion to Division Two.A big thanks to all parents, coaches and committee on the smooth running of this Gala.A large group of swimmers will make the trip to Larne this Sunday to compete in the Swim Ulster Development Meet Four.
