Trent Reznor Working On New Nine Inch Nails Music With Frequent Collaborator Atticus Ross

first_imgTrent Reznor and Atticus Ross have kept very busy over the last few years. In addition to a their Oscar-winning score for The Social Network in 2010, their Grammy-winning soundtrack for 2013’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and more, the Reznor and Ross recently finished the score for Leonardo DiCaprio‘s upcoming documentary on climate change (Before The Flood) and are working on the music for Peter Berg‘s upcoming film about the 2013 Boston Marathon terrorist attacks (Patriots Day). However, perhaps the most exciting project currently underway by the prolific duo is not for a film: According to an interview on Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe, Reznor and Ross are in the process of recording a new Nine Inch Nails album, their first since 2013’s Hesitation Marks, though they are not yet putting a timeline on its release.Says Reznor in the interview. “I’m feeling creatively excited. And I’ve reminded myself – as I’ve veered off into technology for a while – that the act of writing and self-examination that comes from making music really helps me understand who I am again. Things are going good and when we have something that we think is excellent, we will unleash it on the world.”While it seems as though the new album is still in its nascent stages, this is certainly good news for fans of Nine Inch Nails.[via Rolling Stone][Cover Photo via Wall Street Journal]last_img
